About this Guide
The GWF Nutrition Feeding Guide has been created to provide horses and ponies with all the nutritional requirements necessary to provide health, condition and stamina at three levels of workload.
When using this guide, it’s important to understand that the quality of grazing, hay and haylage, which makes up the bulk of the diet, may vary. As such, personal judgement should always be used when feeding.
Q: My horse has too much energy, what should I do?
A: Gradually decrease the quantity of Tiger Oats in the feed as necessary.
Q: My horse doesn’t have enough energy, what should I do?
A: Gradually increase the quantity Tiger Oats in the feed as necessary.
This guide has been split into various size ranges, each with 3 corresponding work categories; Light Work, Medium Work and Hard Work.
Simply select the size and workload of your horse or pony and read across for a guide to the feeding levels of each product we recommend. What else should I feed to my horse or pony?
In addition to the GWF Nutrition products outlined below, we would always recommend that your horse or pony receives an adequate supply of forages in the form of:

Introduce the recommended daily quantity of hard feed over a period of 4 days.
Split the total daily quantity by the number of daily feeds.
Simply mix with your horse or pony's normal feed.
Depending on the workload, please ensure the horse or pony receives adequate levels of forages and energy dense hard feeds
