Equine Feeding Guide

Equine Feeding Guide

Created to provide horses and ponies with all the nutritional requirements necessary to provide health, condition and stamina at three levels of workload.

When using this guide, it’s important to understand that the quality of grazing, hay and haylage, which makes up the bulk of the diet, may vary. As such, personal judgement should always be used when feeding.

How to Feed

This guide has been split into various size ranges, each with 3 corresponding work categories; Light Work, Medium Work and Hard Work.

Simply select the size of your horse or pony and required workload.

It’s important to understand that the quality of grazing, hay and haylage, which makes up the bulk of the diet, may vary due to factors such as seasonal changes. As such, personal judgement should always be used when feeding.
