Helps Maintain a Healthy, Glossy Coat

Hemp Oil provides the perfect balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. This is essential to help maintain the normal moisture content within skin cells and hair follicles to support a soft, silky, shiny coat and normal moulting cycles.

Helps Maintain Healthy Skin

Omega 3 fatty acids and natural vitamin E help to maintain a protective barrier in the skin and help balance Omega 6 fatty acids to maintain the natural anti-inflammatory actions of the body. A deficiency in certain types of fatty acids can result in a dull, dry coat.

Helps Maintain Normal Moulting Cycles

Fat soluble antioxidants like vitamin E tocotrienols help to 'mop-up' free radicals. The tocotrienol form of Vitamin E is 40 to 60 times more readily recycled than other forms of vitamin E in membrane systems. Healthy skin means healthy hair follicles and a shiny coat and normal moulting cycles.

Helps Maintain Good Fertility Status

Omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin E antioxidants have been found to be useful in supporting the quality and mobility of sperm, which is essential for breeding stud dogs. Sperm contain high concentrations of very important EPA and DHA fatty acids that are metabolized from the correct balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Why Should I Feed Omega 3 Aid for Cats & Dogs?

Omega 3 Aid for Cats & Dogs is made from 100% cold pressed vegetable oils. Vegetable sourced omega 3 is far more stable than the more commonly used salmon oil (both when unopened and once opened) which means a longer lasting product as well as a more pleasant smell! This is especially useful when feeding smaller cats and dogs, where fish oils can tend to turn rancid before the bottle is empty.

Our vegetable based oil also contains up to 80% more omega 3's than salmon oil. These fatty acids are important for overall health in lots of ways, and are particularly beneficial here as they are deposited in the surface of the skin and are responsible for coat glow.

Made with British sourced oils, this product is also a more sustainable alternative to fish oils.I

Is Omega 3 Aid Suitable for Pregnant Cats and Dogs?

Yes, Omega 3 Aid is suitable for a pregnant dog or cat. This ingredient can only benefit the new born puppy or kitten.

Is Omega 3 Aid Suitable for Puppies and Kittens?

Yes our oil is suitable for all cats and dogs regardless of age or exercise level.

Can I Try a Sample Before I Buy?

Unfortunately we are not able to offer a sample of Omega 3 Aid for Cats & Dogs.

Can Omega 3 be Given Alongside Your Other Supplements?

Yes - it is commonly fed alongside Immune Aid for Dogs and Raw Aid for Cats & Dogs as part of a balanced diet. It can also be fed with all the other supplements particularly to boost coat shine and improve skin conditions. There may sometimes be a crossover with ingredients, but your pet will simply pass any excess amounts and the chances of side effects are very small.

Do I Need to Give a Loading Amount?

Yes, we would suggest you start with 50% of the recommended daily amount and gradually increase this to the full rate over a period of 10 days. Oils are high energy and so it is sensible to introduce gradually.

Are There Any Side Effects I Should Look out for With Omega 3 Aid?

Unless your dog has an allergy to any of the ingredients themselves, there are no known side effects from the product.

My Dog Has Itchy Skin – Should I Try Omega 3 Aid or Immune Aid for Dogs?

Omega 3 Aid for Cats & Dogs could be used to help support skin recovery, especially if your dog has been scratching and the skin is damaged.

In terms of the cause of the irritation, if you feel that the itchy skin is caused by a food allergy or intolerance, new research would suggest that prebiotics like the ones we use in Digestive Aid for Dogs could help to support the body's recovery process.

If there is a chance that the cause is environmental or the cause is unclear, Immune Aid for Dogs is a good place to start as it will support your dog’s natural immune responses.
